Covid-19 Staying Safely

At Wheatlands Lodge we take Covid 19 very seriously and have opted to take part in the “GOOD TO GO “scheme set up by visit England and in collaboration with all four countries is the industry standard for Hospitality in the UK.

We have written a risk assessment based on the Government guidelines and produced a working document that we put into action daily.

We're Good to Go

The guest house is owned and operated by a husband and wife team Lynn and Mike, therefore this makes delivering our normal high standard of hygiene quite simple. We now in addition to our normal routines deliver additional tasks such as cleansing touchpoints in the rooms as well as high frequency touchpoints around the Guest House.

Rooms are continued to be serviced every day during your stay with us. If you would prefer us not to service your room, please let us know and will respect your wishes and leave you sanitizing wipes for you to complete your own sanitizing during your stay.

Bed linen and towels are factory cleaned and completely replaced between guests. Our spa baths are run through with sanitizing fluid regularly.

Check in and check out is contactless so no need to fill in forms as all our guest information is held on our system. We are also obliged to inform the NHS track and trace if they contact us of guest names and contact numbers during a specific period. Our check in time has now been put back to 16.00 for us to complete extra hygiene tasks. We do have a private car park and our guests are welcome to arrive at any time on their day of arrival and enjoy exploring the area while waiting for their room to be prepared.

As part of the breakfast experience we would normally have a self-service buffet, this is still offered to our guests but instead of it being self-service we will serve this to your table. The hot menu is ordered and served to your table as normal.

Breakfast service is between 8.30 - 9.30 each morning, however due to the slightly longer wait to be served, as described above we are staggering our breakfast service so guests will allocate themselves a time slot to arrive for breakfast.

Social distancing is as you would expect, always observed and hand sanitizer is available at reception and at the entrance to the dining room.

Our guest's safety is our number one priority and we are delighted that our guests post lock down are finding their stay with us both enjoyable and reassuringly safe.

See you soon.
Mike and Lynn
